Horizons Imaging Systems Group (ISG) is an internationally known manufacturer of printable aluminum used to produce labels, nameplates, equipment panels and more.  Employing a range of processes, our products are produced on state-of-the-art manufacturing lines located in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.  In addition to material, we manufacture and supply the majority of equipment items used in the finished part conversion process.  Following conversion, our materials are primarily known for extraordinary durability in industrial nameplate and label applications, inclusive of bar code and UID labels.  Remarkably, the quality and appearance of finished parts is such that our materials are used widely for showcase applications as well, inclusive of plaques, awards, signage and specialty photography to name a few.

ISG has a vast network of qualified material Converters already in place and around the world.  These Converters are equipped to supply pre-printed, fabricated parts.  In addition, the ISG staff is prepared to provide new Converters and OEM's with manufacturing systems that enable the production of parts on site.  Whether as a Converter or OEM you wish to make parts at your facility, or prefer instead to buy finished parts from an established Converter, ISG has a solution and the right mix of technical expertise and channel partners to make it happen.

Our principal product lines include Metalphoto, AlumaJet, AlumaMark and ID-MARK.  Additional product lines include EconAlum, PolyColor and VinylJet.

Metalphoto:

Metalphoto is photosensitive anodized aluminum.  Within MIL-STD-130N, Metalphoto is also referred to as photo anodized aluminum.  For more than 50 years, Metalphoto has been the "go-to" option for durable Labels, Nameplates, Equipment Panels, Plaques & Awards and more.  The Metalphoto image is permanently sealed within the anodic layer, making it virtually impervious to chemicals, heat, abrasion, salt spray and UV.  The durability for which Metalphoto is known allows it to meet an array of government, industrial and military specifications including MIL-STD-130N for Department of Defense UID data matrix bar code applications.

Metalphoto is available in a range of sizes, thicknesses and finishes and is described as "the most durable of aluminum identification plates" by the National Association of Graphic and Product Identification Manufacturers.

AlumaJet:

AlumaJet is ink jet printable aluminum.  Aluminum, you say?  That's what we said!  With AlumaJet you can print brilliant, full-color images directly on aluminum!  Applications include Plaques, Awards, Specialty Photography, Diploma Reproductions, Invitations, Magazine and Newspaper Article Reproductions, Murals, Signs Name Badges and more.  With AlumaJet, your imagination is the limit!

AlumaJet is superior to Sublimation in that the AlumaJet image is a "first-generation" print as opposed to being a transfer or "second-generation" print.  In addition, AlumaJet does not require special inks.

AlumaMark:

AlumaMark is anodized aluminum that may be imaged or marked using a CO₂ laser.  Unique among laserable substrates, AlumaMark allows one to create black, positive marks on silver, gold, bronze or brass backgrounds.  Designed so that it may be marked using low power settings, AlumaMark may be used to produce Nameplates, Name Badges, Plaque and Trophy Plates, Labels, Interior Signage and more.  If you have a CO₂ laser, you need AlumaMark!

ID-MARK:

ID-MARK sheets are photopolymer resist coated sheets of aluminum and polyester.  The resist coating cures when exposed to UV and rinses away with simple tap water in the unexposed areas, leaving behind spot color graphic images.  Applications include Signs, Labels, Plaques & Awards, Prototypes, Nameplates and more. 

Specialty ID-MARK photo-luminescent and retro-reflective substrates are available as well for use as safety and emergency signs for when the lights go out!
