The AlumaJet Process

AlumaJet is ink jet printable aluminum. With AlumaJet you can print brilliant, full-color, high resolution images directly on bright anodized aluminum! With AlumaJet, your imagination is the limit and customized, one-of-a-kind type items that are inefficient and expensive to produce using other methods are now simple and affordable. The process is simple:

1. Create artwork using any software

2. Load AlumaJet Sheet into suitable ink jet printer and print. Recommended printers include:

a. Epson Stylus Pro 3800 and 3880 (Prints up to 17” wide)

b. Epson Stylus Pro 4880 (Prints up to 17” wide)

c. Epson Stylus Pro 7880 (Prints up to 24” wide)

d. Epson R800/R1800

e. Canon IPF 5000 & 6000 Series

f. Canon Pixma 9000 & 9500

g. HP B9180

3. Laminate to enhance durability of the printed AlumaJet image

4. Shear or otherwise fabricate the laminated sheet. Part is now ready for attachment or assembly.

Step 3 :: Laminate printed sheet to protect the graphic image and provide enhanced<br />durability. A variety of laminate films are available depending on end use and the look<br />you are trying to achieve.

Step 4 :: Fabricate the laminated sheet and the piece is now ready for attachment,<br />mounting or framing with the result being a spectacular finished part!

Printer Compatibility

Inkjet printers with a "J" printer path can accept the thinnest AlumaJet sheets of .005".  A straight through printer path is required for thicker sheets of .012" and .025".  Call us for printer recommendations.

Standard dye and pigment based inkjet inks are suitable.
